Requirements for Admission to the University of Isfahan (for non-scholarship applicants)
General conditions:
1) Holding degrees issued by accredited academic institutions formerly attended by the applicant.
2) A good command of Farsi Language.
Note: Applicants who have completed their previous educational programs in Iran will be considered as proficient in Farsi. For other non-Iranian applicants, their levels of proficiency need to be assessed and confirmed by an accredited authority in the country.
Specific conditions:
A) Applying for a Bachelor’s Degree:
1. Having the completion certificate of diploma (formal education for 12 years) or equivalent approved by the qualified authorities with a minimum GPA of 12 out of 20.
2. The minimum average of the four subjects related to the applicant’s prospective major must be 12.
B) Applying for a Master’s Degree:
1. Holding a BA or BSc degree from an accredited institution approved by the qualified authorities with a minimum GPA of 12 out of 20.
2. The minimum average of the six subjects related to the applicant’s prospective major must be 13.
3. Obtaining the respective department’s approval considering the applicant’s educational records.
C) Applying for a PhD Degree:
1. Holding an MA or MSc degree from an accredited institution approved by the qualified authorities with a minimum GPA of 14 out of 20.
2. Obtaining the respective department’s approval according to its established criteria.
Deadlines:
1. Deadlines for receiving documents to apply for Bachelor’s or Master’s programs starting at the first semester and second semester are June 21 and October 22, respectively.
2. Deadlines for receiving applicants’ expressions of interest in doing a PhD depend on the dates determined for the applicants to take part in scientific interviews, which are announced by the university.
Required documents:
1. Copies of official degrees and transcripts translated into English by an accredited translator.
Note: The applicants who have graduated from non-Iranian educational centers are required to have their educational documents including degrees and academic transcripts, which have been translated by accredited translators, approved by diplomatic or consular officer of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the respective country.
2. Copies of applicant’s passport, especially the pages with entry and exit stamps.
3. A copy of applicant’s residence card. 4.After getting preliminary acceptance, the candidate is required to register at http://saorg.ir:8081 and receive a tracking code, and then send the tracking code: to the International Scientific Cooperation Office by email at: iinternationaloffice@yahoo.com
Note: The tuition per semester does not include the cost of accommodation, meals, insurance, etc.
