This prestigious ranking is based on the latest data from a collaborative project between Scopus and a research team at Stanford University. The list identifies leading scientists across 22 main disciplines and 174 subfields worldwide.

The report highlights two important citation-based methodologies:

• Career-long impact, which reflects the overall scientific influence of researchers.
• Annual impact (2024 data), which accounts for field- and year-adjusted citation indicators.
